However I can't find a modem driver for my Rockwell based 56k external. How do I do it? Internet Explorer for the Mac 68 series seems to have absolutely pathetic modem support. Finally got Win95 and Linux coexisting on the same machine, but he had to reinstall his modem driver every time he booted. I don't think the change in the Winsock caused this - more likely the updated modem driver files in Win98 caused the change in result codes. Trust me. :-) What Windows 95 was reporting was the "false" port speed - no matter how fast your modem actually connected to the Internet, it always reported 115200bps.
